Liu He Ba Fa is based partly on Six Harmony, Ten Animal Xin Yi. Its theory is also influenced by other styles of Chinese internal martial arts. Eric first learned the long form of this system from Tao Ping-Siang, direct disciple of the founder Wu. This form was more external than the later Shanghai versions of the styles. Eric later studied Hong Kong Style with Master Wai Lun Choi at Taste of China workshop in Virginia and also during his visit to Kingston Ontario, and with students of Shanghai Style Master Leung Tze Pang. He also studied and translated Wang Xiang Zhai’s and Han Xing Qauo’s Yi Chuan original standing postures with lineage student P. Chan. Yi Chuan is derived from Five Element Xing Yi (Hsing I).
